Description

Beginner Beekeeping Course: Hives and Bees

Presented by CWI Beehives & Frames in partnership with Infinity Bees

This course brings together two essential parts of starting beekeeping in South Africa.

CWI Beehives & Frames explains the different parts of a beehive, what each part does, and what to check before buying your first hive. You’ll learn how to choose a suitable, well-made hive without having to build one yourself.

Infinity Bees presents the beginner bee course: how to get started with beekeeping in South Africa, the equipment you need, the basics of a bee colony, safe handling, and what to look for during a hive inspection.

The aim is to give new beekeepers a clear, practical starting point for choosing a hive and caring for their first colony.

Duration: One day, with a two-day format available if additional practical time is planned.

Venue, dates and fees: To be announced. Contact CWI to register your interest.
