2-Day Beehive Construction Course

Course Overview

This 2-day practical beekeeping course is designed for individuals eager to learn the art of beehive construction, from sourcing materials to assembly, finishing, and maintenance. Participants will have the opportunity to construct their own beehive, which they will take home at the end of the course. The course will include tea breaks, lunch, and all necessary materials for hive construction.

Course Objectives

• Understand the fundamentals of beehive construction.
• Learn how to source and prepare materials for hive building.
• Gain hands-on experience in assembling a beehive.
• Learn about hive maintenance and troubleshooting common issues.
• Leave with your own completed beehive and a certificate of completion.

Course Fee

• R2,800 per person
  • Includes:
    • 2 full days of training (theory and practical)
    • All materials for hive construction (wood, frames, wax, etc.)
    • Tea breaks and lunch on both days
    • Completed brood box to take home
    • Certificate of Completion
  • Note: Protective clothing / overalls should be brought with by each participant.

Terms & Conditions

• Payment: A 80% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance must be paid in full before the course start date.
• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 7 days before the course will be refunded 20%. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 7 days of the course.
• Minimum Participants: The course will proceed with a minimum of 6 participants.
• Group Discounts: Groups of 3 or more participants can receive a 10% discount on the total cost.
